2 UP Team TT - Sunday 13th March 2016

On the 13th March we had our first Team time trial of the year organised by our newest committee member Matt Smith. The first riders set off at 10am.

The 25 mile TT was ridden as a team of 2 riders, same or mixed genders, same club or composite pairs (different clubs).

First off was PTW's Morgan Ley and David Hendry who won fastest team with a junior taking home a prize of £20.

The fastest time of the day was recorded by a composite team of our own member Richard Gambling with Christopher Jones of Ride bike Wales clocking an impressive 55:14 and taking prize of £40 for fastest composite team.

In second place was Chris Gibbard and Philip Tucker of Bynea CC by a mere 4 seconds. Third place saw Swansea wheelers team Nic Cleave and Trevor Lloyd who were three minutes 13 seconds behind.

It was good to see several female participants. Gaynor Hughes and Sarah Rees of Bynea CC took first of the womens category with 1:16:41 taking home the prize of £60.

Sadly 7 teams did not start, three of which offered their apologies.
