Only three Thursdays left!

Whilst the forecast for Thursday morning looks bad we are promised a drier afternoon and evening so keep your fingers crossed for lighter winds than the anticipated 'fresh breeze'.

BTW it's normal o'clock this week but next week sees the first of our two earlier starts (18.30hrs).

Anyway, the essentials;

1. We meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.00hrs and closing at 18.45hrs for a prompt 19.00hrs race start.

2. You have to be member of the PTW or a second-claim member of the PTW. There is no 'single race' fee - you have to join the club as a first-claim or second-claim member.

Worth the effort me thinks!

Despite us having wet roads and a wee bit of rain it really wasn't too bad and a few of you did ever so well with PB's and SB's starting with Shirley's 28:03. John Deeley was our second rider off (because he was riding home) and he was totally over the moon with his first ever '22' finishing 4th on the night. Well done John and you've got every chance of going faster next week.

Ffion did yet another PB (yawn) whilst Stephan was only a few seconds off another PB but got all steamed up and had to abandon the chase. Our visitors from the Bynea had mixed fortunes with Brad getting a SB but Diddy Dainty Diane is still chasing her great time from that April float night we had in, er, April. Julian's chasing of Hollie probably spurred him on to lower his PB and he's settling into his new bike and lower position.

Despite chasing Dai Triggs all over Swansea and Clydach this morning, Tony was fresh enough to get close to his SB whilst Jeff Rees lowered his SB by a few more seconds. Nice one Jeff! Nino Gatti took an impressive 42 seconds off last weeks time to finish 6th with Les edging him by 10 seconds to claim 5th. We've already mentioned that John Deeley was 4th but our 1-2-3 were all as dispatched with Rod taking the win but it was a real scrap for second place with Neil pipping Colin by just two seconds.

For the second week running, Alfie's 'man of the match' award goes to John Deeley for a milestone ride and a fitting reward for some pretty impressive commuter training.

As always, thanks to Whistling Will and Dai.
