Have I detected a touch of Autumn this week with chilly mornings and leaves on the ground? Well, despite it being a very wet Wednesday we have an OK forecast for tomorrow's '10' on the dual-carriageway. A bit cool and a bit fresh but mercifully dry.

In the club event points competition Rod Hicks needs another win to make it the perfect 15 out of 15 whilst Tony Howell was gobsmacked to discover that he is currently second so I've challenged him to defend that position with perhaps only Ross having a realistic chance to overhaul him.

Anyway, the essentials;

1. We meet up at the Neath Canal Car Park in Resolven for signing on from about 18.00hrs and closing at 18.45hrs for a prompt 19.00hrs race start.

2. You have to be member of the PTW or a second-claim member of the PTW. There is no 'single race' fee - you have to join the club as a first-claim or second-claim member.

Well, the weather was just about as per the forecast even down to the windspeed which made it a night for just doing your best. Ffion got us underway and was also the first rider back even having the time to chat to the police. BTW if anyone has any tips or techniques for removing a stuck seatpin from a carbon frame then contact Ffion. Of course, this might have been a clever ruse to prevent Will from raising/lowering her saddle.

We have a new 'noob' in Nino Gatti who grabbed a pizza the action (Cwmafan readers will be wetting themselves at that one) with a 24:11 which could mean a '22' on a float night and with practice at pacing. Diane was competitive (again) as was Brad our other Bynea visitor.

With no PB's or SB's then I'm looking at how close peep's got to their SB's and Ffion, Simon and Patrick fall into that category as does John Deeley but with John getting 4th place on the night from 6th on the grid then John Deeley is Alfie's 'man of the match'. It must have been that well-pinned number John ;)

As always, many thanks to Dai and Will.
